The President of Madagascar has fled to France, and from France he dissolved the National Assembly. In this power vaccum the Corps d'armée des personnels et des services administratifs et techniques has apparently taken over the National Media and is running basic services rn. Interestingly that same unit got the current Rresident into his office in 2009 lol.

The Corps has chosen 'Micheal Randrianirina' as the interim president, he then picked General Demosthene Pikulas as the leader of the whole Army. Elements of the Gendarmerie nationale malgache have apparently switched sides and joined the new administration- probably preventing a civil war in the process.

The loyal elements of the Gendarmerie nationale malgache as well as the Police nationale probably will try and mount a counter-coup if the exiled President wills it and if France helps out, due to defections and public pressure they have not started a civil war.
