Right now HSM is paying them because he has an election coming up. Does he have a long term interest in keeping them paid? Can he actually use Lascaanood to stop Somaliland recognition?

This is purely an attack on the soveriegnty and territorial integrity of Somaliland but it won't help Somalia at all. The house cards will collapse and Somaliland will carry on.

If Mogadishu had a funcitoning governemnt they would accept that they cannot improve their position from Lascaanood, they can try and damage Somaliland temporarily but it won't help them. The reality is in the pursuit of some unrealistic goal (greater Somalia) they have lost everything.

You admitted the failure yourself in this message. Yet you treat it like it’s not a 30 yrs long failure. You literally said it failed to form it self. Your being intellectually dishonest and you know it, it’s only you who has to sleep knowing he is lying to himself. I’ll admit it today Somalia is a failed state and everything with in it is a failure.

I never did. Somaliland is only not recognized and still manages to function. Somalia tried taking advantage of the situation in Lascaanood but will they do it long term? History says absolutely not and it will be over in a couple of years.

All the fake states that make up the failed Somalia except for Puntland are run by foreign troops or funded by the UNSOS (SNA doesn't manage the logistics or resources and doesn't pay for a lot of it). Not self-selfstaining in anyway. I don't think they will be allowed to transplant that in Lascaanood so I don't see it how functions.

I think HSM got enough money together to buy time until the elections. Maybe he deosn't even have a long term plan.

They take orders from FGS, they’re fine with being a gareen paper state like Hiirshabele, Galmudug and South West. Puntland did well ceasing to recognise Sool Bari and view it henceforth as a Puntland gobol gone rogue.
