The pocket of Xamar itself will always have a great literacy rate in comparison to other regions of Somalia. All the professionals within Somalia and the diaspora even are there.

But look at the regions surrounding Xamar.

Not nearly as good.

Meh: Sanaag, Sool, Nugaal, Hiiraan, Bakool, Gedo, Lower Jubba, Lower Shabelle.

Horrible: Middle Jubba, Bay, Middle Shabelle.

and im suprised Bakool has a higher literacy rate than Bay you would think the place with the bigger urban capital would fare better.
