Does the company you work for also contribute into your retirement benefits?

For government retirement benefits, I would get the max benefits. So about $1200 a month if I retired today. But it will be indexed to inflation when I do retire whatever that amount is.

But I also save my own retirement through investments and my company matches it. I would say 75% of my retirement will come from my own investments/companies matching.

Children and spouses get monthly payments if their parents dies before retirement which is nice.

I'm retiring at 55 or 60 if I live that long.

Cant believe I’m asking this. Does your “husband” get your money if you die from HIV.

You're the one who tested positive for STDs. Why don't you tell the forum members here of your chlamydia and your gonorrhea and how you spread it to others? I am clean and never got an STD in my life.

I am cured. I did not knowingly spread it.

UK state pension is ~ £9.5k a year ( $12.7K, $16k cad). This is barely enough to live on though. Ideally, you should have at least £20-£30k a year for a comfortable retirement.

UK public sector has generous pensions (~20% contribution), but generally has lower salaries than private sector.

I work in the private sector. My company contributes 10%, and I contribute 5%. The younger you start, the better.

In Australia, the employer has to pay for your retirement allowance. The general figure is an extra 12-15% on top of your annual salary.

That’s basically either put in an index fund or you can manage it yourself but you’re barred from touching it until retirement.

It’s not uncommon in Australia to meet normal people working 9-5 in an unimpressive job with close to 1 million stashed away for retirement.

Who the f*ck are we kidding sxb. By the time we're retirement age, things are going to be so fucked up that we'll be lucky if we can afford to eat one meal per day looool
