I recommend watching the film it's some of Natalies best work.

Nvm, after a rewatch I take back everything. The movie is much different than what I remembered.

Its easily my favourite film by far. There is something to fall in love with in every scene.

The cinematogrophy, the acting, the dark humour, the bad guy who loves classical music, the costume design for Leon, The action and so on.

This is what Tony Scott used to love to call a good "Rock and Roll" film, it doesnt take itself way too serious like Riddley Scott films and it managed to be more subtler and deep than such films anyways.

Leon, whom is at first revealed to be this sophisticated man of action, who has a contingency for every unexpected outcome is gradually revealed to be a naive, silly child with his stupid plant and all.

Yea the whole love dynamic was weird. Especially when she was trying to initiate sexual relations with Leon.

Its a French film from the tail end of a weird French period. Its also a massive self insert by a director who ended up marrying a pregnant 15 year old girl, he was grooming from the age of 11.

It seems that only the most troubled and disturbed may bare their soul and render for us beauty, or that we are only taken to such people.
