Kenya isn’t a threat it fields less soldiers than individual states in Somalia. Its economy is run on tourism and agriculture. Its energy is almost entirely reliant on the Tana river. Their generals and commanders are largely Somali just as their businesses are in many sectors.

A Somali-Kenyan conflict would go bad for them and is a lose-lose no matter what. The only reason you consider them a threat is because you view them as an impediment to Jubbaland but Jubbaland wouldn’t even be on your mind if there were no Ethiopians to fly into Kismayo. HSM was known for stuff likes this. HSM ordered the then Governor of the Somali bank: Yusra Abraar to gather money held overseas that had been there since the collapse of SB government in 1991.

HSM told Yusra Abraar to then put that money in a private bank account. Abraar declined and HSM had a hit put on her. Some wadani Xildhibaans smuggled her out of the country before HSM could kill her.
