I hope all of you weren't lazy and actually prayed for your country to prosper. I spent these last ten nights praying for our success and for our land to be blessed once again. Now this means that we have to put in the effort ourselves and not be lazy after ramadan finishes for allah doesn't play around and will curse a nation who's ppl do not give him thanks for his blessings.The only way we move forward is together as one ppl united and only then will we find success inshallah. Who else prayed for our country?

I actually only make dua for Majeerteens. It's an old habit
I made dua for the whole country because if everything goes according to plan the whole country will be united, rich and strong. Believe me poverty brings out the worst in ppl and cause jealousy among brothers and enmity, however if all were rich and prosperous then there would be no clan grudges or competition.
The salafis say nationalism is haram, what is your take?

Obviously believing every other race is beneath us is haram but you are meant to take pride in your nation. We were made into tribes so we could distinguish ourselves and such

Back on the initial point, we were made in these tribes to distinguish between each other but it shapes our identity. Hence why tribes have different cultures. Nationalism is essentially taking pride in your country and there is nothing wrong with loving your people. However it becomes haram once you believe you are the best people. Once you start looking down on others because your not from the same country is when it flips.

Thanks sxb. i hope you don’t mind being a devilish advocate for Salafis. They point to the examples set by the prophet and his companions and demanded that Muslims should emulate by establishing an Islamic State or a caliphate. In addition to that the modern nation-state is a western construct which is based on the theory that the political actors should deliver what’s the best interests of that nation. That’s why nationalism is a major factor in wars between nations.
The idea of a Muslim state is beyond reach and will probably only occur when Imam Mahdi comes.
This is because there are so many Muslim countries that do not help each other. Think back to the Gulf tensions that happened. Saudi Arabia only offered to help us with the famine if we agreed to cut ties with Qatar , another Muslim nation. This is modern day nationalism,acting in the best interest of a nation. Yet Saudis are mostly Salafi meaning they “believe” nationalism is haram.. or do they??
There is no ritual brother just pray from the heart and believe god will receive it and accept it.
There is still a long way to go for that to happen my friend since a lot of things have yet to happen. We are not far from the hour and yet close to it if you can understand what that means. It means that we are close to it since many events predicted came true but yet we are still waiting for many more to occur and until yajuj and majuuj arrive i will not believe that the hour has arrived.
