You can't compare a soldier who has been brainwashed to believe that 70 hoor Al ayn are awaiting him after his death, and a soldier who is being paid 100 dollars and wants to get home to his wife and kids. The reality is SNA soldiers will lack morale because they are not paid enough as well as the fact they don't even have the neccecary equipment to fight AS.

AS morale is way higher and always will be, the government isn't doing itself any favors by entering the EAC and directly allying with Non-Muslims. The only way AS can be defeated is by arming clan militias because they actually live in those regions and stay in the newly conquered areas. Liberating an area and leaving after a couple days is not a sustainable approach as AS will always come crawling back.
Shabab are part time mecenaries or guns for hire by politicians wanting to harm other politicians. They also get AMISOM help who enjoy their $1500 a month check and building homes in their countries and contributing to their market growth. Then you have the foot soldiers who are SNA by day and Shabab by night getting two checks.
Then you have Erdogan and Turks expanding their sphere of influence around critical global trade corridors like the red sea while expanding their foreign GDP by owning the Hamar airport hotel(diaspora and foreigner dollars flowing thru), airport revenues plus the sea port revenues.
Then you got the UN interest where a number of western nation charity industries rely on a war torn Somalia since that's their market space(poverty) charity fuels poverty not cures it why would they smite themselves of market space by curing poverty. Now you have the EAC common market who want to flood in and take all the technical trade jobs and develop their foreign GDP.
Since Somalia doesn't offer citizenship every foreigner and even diaspora whether worker or investor anything they own is calculated for the country their a citizen off.
Somalia is designed and crafted to be a war economy which also means you need to be poor and unsafe as those conditions need to be true so all the other foreign and domestic economic variables can be maximized. Tashan waydeen wa Lagu talin as U serve as a war economy role for global community.
