One thing I’ve observed as an outsider gaalo is that xalimos have a tendency to gravitate towards kpop much more than any other ethnicity. The stanpages on places like tiktok are almost exclusively ran by xalimos.

Does anyone have any insight as to why this is?

it appeals to all women, tbh no need to only go after Somali girls, and tbh good for them if they enjoy that's nice Kpop is infinitely better than the shit I see at carnival. It's fun, creative, colourful and engaging which is why it's liked. Korean culture is also massive, probably the biggest on the planet atm and is far more PG so it makes sense that it holds high appeal with all demographics.

I was very in to girls' generation when I was like 13/14 years old. Taeyeon produces some good songs but most of kpop is just shit tbh. Just noisy sound and a bunch of guys and girls that looked like deformed anime characters thanks due to their multiple plastic surgeries.

I got into kpop when 3rd gen were debuting and rookies. I enjoyed 2nd gen and 3rd gen music. Now that 4th gen is here, I'm genuinely confused about their songs. Sometimes it decent and sometime its an entire mess.

I think a lot of kpop stans today have some type of East Asian fetish because I REFUSE to believe there are people in this world who genuinely listen to this NPC ass music
