I've never heard Madi either.

I thought it was a regional thing as all the Landers from Awdal to Sool pronounced it as Midi. Everyone else (non-lander) said it as Mindi, with emphasis on the letter n. So I made an assumption thinking anyone who says Mindi is not from SL but from some other gobol in Somalia.
