In Rwanda, one side won the civil war. In Somalia, nobody has really dominated another group. There's a stalemate between all the major clans. Plus, constant foreign intervention in Somalia means no clear resolution, as opposed to when the world just looked on and did nothing in Rwanda.

I knew someone/you would say that, but African countries are more likely to put up stupid trade barriers if they disagree over minor political things. Euros are more likely to cooperate for the long term. That's why landlocked countries in Africa are generally even more fucked.

The truth is being landlocked is an obstacle, but it doesn't necessarily have a great influence over a nation's economic prospects. More important factors include having an educated/skilled work-force, reliable infrastructure, stable political and judicial system etc.

we're not talking about genetics, we're looking at it from a cultural aspect. Tutsis as observed look and act refined. meanwhile their Hutu counterpart act like complete savages devoid of human decency.
