Seems like Laftagareen and Hassan sheikh are having some misunderstandings. Hassan sheikh wants to take thousands of troops trained in Eritrea, Egypt and Ethiopia.
Laftagareen has openly denied Hassan sheikh from doing this due to the fact that this will mean that the FGS will gain a lot of power in koonfur galbeed. If they end up gaining this power they will be able to interfere local politics and replace Laftagareen with their own candidate.
Due to this reason their is a huge khilaaf currently between laftagareen and Hassan sheikh. Laftagareen is fearing Hassan sheikh has ulterior motives to bringing these troops into Koonfur Galbeed, not to fight AS but instead to get rid of Laftagareen.

Laftagareen is planning to hold elections in May in which he will get MPs loyal to him elected. This will most likely lead him to returning back to the seat which will be detrimental to Hassan sheikh and his political goals.

If he’s serious about fighting AS, let him give weapons to the local troops there and increase their salary. Unlike HS and galnus, KF has very well trained troops which are trained by none other than the UK. KF is self-sufficient.

Exactly. Koonfur galbeed has enough troops to fight AS. Trust me they ain't in shortage of soldiers that can fight.
But the issue is that there is a double standard. Where Hassan sheikh gave weapons and funding to Galmudug and Hirshabeele but he is denying that to Koonfur galbeed. That ain't right.
Laftagareen is trying to pull a Deni and Hassan sheikh mohamud is trying to prevent that. He wants to take troops to SW before the elections so he can control the elections and install his candidate.
Laftagareen knows this and has plans to hold an election similar to Dani and get re-elected. After Dani being re- elected if Laftagareen gets re elected it's going to be detrimental to Hassan sheikh and his future plans.
We will see how things pan out. But we hope Laftagareen is victorious.
I remember when Hassan Sheikh failed in trying to hold parallel elections in Dhuusomareeb few months ago. He’ll be more aggressive this time. KF is a bit more vulnerable compared to PL for various reasons, mainly due to proximity to Mogadishu. Laftagareen is the most dominant and self-sufficient president of KF. Does he have deep pockets? Who is his main finances? UAE?
Laftagareen and Deni having 5 year mandate, then that means Hassan Sheikh is toast.

According to sources he is using Ethiopian troops as backing to stay in power. He is connected to Addis Ababa. He is probably getting funding from Qatar.
But your totally right Laftagareen and KGS are much more vulnerable to the FGS. But Laftagareen has shown that he is not backing down easy.
Where does he usually stay? In Baydhabo or in Xamar?
I hope him and Deni meet up soon. KF and PL were always good Allie’s, since the time of Shaatiguduud.

99% of the time he stays in Baidoa. That's his stronghold.
Puntland will definitely be one of our allies as they are long time allies that linked up when it comes to federalism. Hopefully this carries on.
Hopefully Puntland can give political backing to koonfur galbeed and we will be a ally of puntland. So that HSM doesn't replace Laftagareen and take control of Koonfur Galbeed which is a state which holds a lot of influence in the political future of somalia.
Lafta Gareen is opportunist to the core. He made a deal with Deni when Deni was isolated by the federal government and they agreed to cooperate against FG, only for lafta green to back track and make a one year deal with HSM. Now, he has to commit a treason by cooperating with Ethiopia to hold on to his seat. Ethiopia is now actively seeking our ports and they won't hesitate to help him out. HSM should request all Ethiopians to be removed from Somali lands.
Shabaab literally blockaded Baydhabo less than a year ago in what world is KGS taking the fight to them? There is huge amount of foreign troops in KGS too that can hold territory.

There is many different macawiisley groups In SWS. For example their is a tariiqa called reer banaani that operates in berdaale. As well as macawiisley in qoryooley and Xuddur. They just haven't been funded or well equipped to fight.
