Kerela is led by a front headed by Reds and the leader of Tamil Nadu is unironically named Stalin I think them being Dravidian is not the main factor here- the wildest part is that the South not that long ago was the poorest part of India by all metrics yet today is the brand ambassador.

Oh, I was not at all suggesting that their being Dravidian had anything to do with their success. That is absurd. Just that the more successful groups tend to be Southern and Dravidian speaking. But it's nice to know their being Reds is seemingly why they're like this. I've definitely noticed when I'd sometimes deign to listen to some Southern Indian intellectuals and politicians that there was something Left-wing going on. Very intellectual and refined types.

Also 26.6% and 18.4% of the province is Muslim and Christian respectively, probably yet another reason why the place has not fallen to toxic Hinduvata politics.

You're probably right. The varna system and Hindutva politics are a real problem Indians need to get on top of.
