Normally I agree with you on most things, but this is just retarded. Somalis were expanding well into East-Southern Africa, it was the British who eventually stopped our advance, in fact it was their stated mission policy at all costs to see us not pass river Tana. the notion that all african clans/tribes/states/kingdoms etc were destroyed by colonialism is false. certain territories owe their prominence and current clout to colonialism. eg kenya and modern borders of ethiopia. not just africa but also the middle east. eg the founding of jordan.
