East African unity in action for once (extremely rare)

I do prefer Somalia being closer to East Africa community, it's more stable then the Horn region(red sea), red eyes, etc. I think thru connectivity with them, we can learn the meaning of peace and stability.

Plus Gee who don't wanna be near Paul Kagame, dude took a nation written off and off the Map onto a course people say will end in Singaporean outcomes.

Paul Kagame was given his death certificate but refused his nation to be buried, I think he is the most influential leader post ww2, well to.me he is. He took a nitemare and changed it for the better.

This the same guy from watermelon video about year back. He is also radiologist at hospital very smart guy. It’s tough to grow in the region with that soil its very poor quality . They are using drip irrigation to minimize water usage. Which u can see from plastic pipe system dropping water.

they are also having to add organic matter to soil to give it nutrients.

It’s definitely possible to farm in desert type environments but need a lot of water that’s how they do it in places like Arizona which they take advantage of rivers and aquifers . Another video of regions with more mature crops and a green house. Still not large scale probably water being limiting factor my guess

What is the purpose behind Galdogob farming is it for temperature regulation, is it for food security. Somalis always tend to do things without being clear what the objective behind it is?

they chasing dollar. Means fruits and vegetable prices high enough it’s worth their time to grow in non ideal condition . Also good for future food security snd area employment . It’s good to secure things like food and medicines and not rely on outsiders who can sanction u and screw u on prices. Right now most our industries destroyed because we flooded by cheap imports . Same thing trump fighting with tariffs but our situation 1000x worst

I’d like to see the people in the area pickup farming im not sure how sustainable nomadism will be in the coming decades due to climate change

galdogob area is also the most densely populated district in central Somalia not sure how much livestock people the land can hold in the future better to pickup other lifestyles

Did Sacad end up annexing Western Galdogob and adding it to its own land holdings and regional footprint? It's worrying time there once they start referring to a land as western or eastern sections(wa dhul muran ku jira) waana tiina tan lagu muransan yahay kkkkkkk

They trying but I think water will always be issue and what limits how much it can be scaled. They trying to also plant hardy grasses that reduces need for people to find more and more new pastuers.

They do this also in DDS before drought comes they plant a lot of livestock feed to get them through tough times

Yes Livestock feed game is important during the dry seasons. But u need to be careful on the feed u provide, that's all I will say.

PL govt has facilities for you to visit and bring your livestock so it's actually studied what feed is suitable so it's healthy and works with its genome in an organic way. Many Rural Puntites take advantage of this great govt facility, I know my bah dubays rural family always do and up the prices on their livestock as higher quality when they enter the livestock market as clients trust us as legit.

its very effficient the livestock we raise built for region. to me only options for water is harvest rain water better, dig more boreholes. but both have limitations due to how arid area is. I think what we need is similar to what middleast is doing and building desalination plants. This would allow us to do massive farming and even more livestock rearing. we have plenty of ocean just need

Morocco building big one that will provide water to 9 million people. Supposedly will cost litle over 700 million . Will be tough to get that type of funding in somalia today, maybe in future
