Do you guys know that his sub clan of Omar Mahamud ( Reer Aden) has a xeer which stipulates that they don’t except blood money, so if anyone kills one of them unlawfully they ask for capital punishment and if someone of them kills someone unlawfully they give him to the victims family regardless of his status. The 'status' issue baffles me. Somalis play a game sending their 'low lives' telling him 'waad ku jano galaysa' go kill 'high important member of that clan' and when 'qiyaas' time comes, most clans say it's not 'equal blood' and resort to 'we will wait till we find someone in ur clan worth what u killed'.
