KISMAYO (HOL) - Three security personnel attached to Jubbaland Environment Minister Aideed Saleban Hashi were killed Thursday in a bomb attack that hit the residence of the minister.
Hashi told journalists that he escaped unhurt after an improvisded explosive device (IED) concealed at the room used by the guards went off. Among the dead were two brothers.
The attack comes barely two days after state parliament speaker Abdi Baaleey Hussein survived a hand grenade attack at his home.
Al-Shabaab militants which claimed responsibility hurled a grenade at his home in Kismayo injuring relatives to the politicians.
