Pitbulls are known to be very loyal & highly athletic/strong. Thinking of getting one myself.

My advice is don't get one from the shelter; those dogs are abused and will have trauma also get it from a good breeder and licensed breeder. True Pitbulls are between 55-65 pounds when they are adults, the big dogs with big heads aren't real pitbulls because they have been mixed with something else.
