It’s weird knowing that some people hate being thanked

I’m one of those people when I do favours for people specially my relatives and they respond with “thank you” ugh I get that you’re thankful but please just forget about it idk what could be causing this tbh. Do any of you feel the same way?

When people thank me, I appreciate it. In fact I thank myself for all of my accomplishments. When someone compliments anything I do, I remind them what they forgot to compliment me on. I guess we’re polar opposite.

Every time hooyo makes duca for me over the phone and I stay silent she would say “war aamin dheh iimanka beel!” and then I’d get a lil upset and say amin

I’m what they call “baari” or “fariid” that one family member that always helps out with little things my brothers are xaasid it started when I was a kid my uncle would call me every time he comes home from university and I’d bring him a cup of water and he’d say thank you abti. I see what’s going I don’t do favours for ajaanib though it’s just my family members.
