There's no two ways about it. Either you are an indigenous Middle-Eastern state or a Western transplant Civilisational state.

I don't consider Israel a Western state at it's core because of their Hebrew heritage, they just have a Western veneer much like Turkey.

Some Israelis like to hijack the "Western" brand to trick Westerners/Europeans into supporting them.
