Someone needs to enlighten the Odays back home that fighting tribe against tribe was prohibited by the prophet and Allah forbade this! How will our country ever improve if education is nor prioritised over fighting due to arid land and political issues. Us somalis are extremely fortunate we have plentiful resources namely oil, gas, uranium and mineral ores in the metric tons and yet we continue to squander and bicker like uneducated children. Lets hope this new generation will see the light and take examples from every successful nation like Norway and their pension fund and China with their rapid industrialisation plan and educated their families back home so we can work together to achieve what many nations have failed to till this day. We should also learn from failed oil rich nations like those in the Gulf and Saudi Arabia and not sit on our oil wealth without investing wisely. We should also not adopt all aspects of western culture as it leads to depravity and declining birth and marriage rates, and therefore we should only adopt the best of western values and gather western teachers to teach at newly built universities so that our youth can gain free education and fill in the many empty sectors that require youth employment en masse.
We can achieve this within two decades and really improve our nation for the future generations to come. The Muslims we once upon a time the wisest of the nations and created universities and free education! we can and must muster our courage to lead Islam in this regard once again! Free education and building a modern transportation system is a must for us Somalis. The wealth exists, all that is required of us is for us to unify and treat our brethren like our own family.
In conclusion, almost all of our failure and lack of civility can be attributed to something that Islam has already explicitly forbade many centuries ago. How long will it take us to learn?
