I saw someone put it this way on a YouTube comment: "Europeans will relate to European suffering and Africans will relate to African suffering."

Lol the Ukraine president that is being hailed hero now..tweeted this last year during the Plaestine/Israel War.
I think it's fine to care about Ukrainians, but people are completely ignoring the context of this invasion.
"Russia bad expansionists" is enough of an explanation to most of these W*sterners. As if their hand wasn't forced. Russia was too weak in the early post-soviet years to fend off NATO expansion, but that changed by the mid-2000s. When they contemplated incorporating Georgia into NATO, Russia invaded. You would think that it would be enough of a demonstration that Russia is willing to act if push comes to shove. Germany and France were the only reasonably parties back then and opposed Ukraine's membership for fear of causing unnecessary conflict. Then the EU got hit by amnesia and continued to aggressively proper up pro-Western political agendas at the grassroots level while pressuring the government through any available channels. The fact that America has spent over $5B promoting 'democracy' in Ukraine by 2013 should be telling.

Yet the only people supporting the fight against oppressive regimes like Israel are muslims/middle eastern/south asians.
