Now compare it to how real presidents are welcomed.

1. President to President welcoming at the red carpet protocol ✔

2. The two flags of the two states ✔

Somaliland needs to try a new approach it's clear their boneheaded strategy of isolationism and hostility to Somalia is not working 27 years and counting

Don't the ones that do want ictiraaf including the SL govt know it's not achievable what benefit do they get out of remaining in this deadlock

It is a begging bowl for the politicians. That is why they want to keep the ictiraaf dream alive.

The politicians could of embezzled way more money from the IC if they joined Somalia as a federal state if their agenda was about only money I still don't get it who funds the Somaliland government anyway

True they would get more money but in all honesty, putting politics aside majority of people living in Somaliland would rather live in the status quo cuz it's been almost 30 yrs and business goes on as usual. Somaliweyn sounds nice but it's not a reality nor is it something that ever benefitted the northwestern regions. SL provides a fuctioning and stable governemnt that allows people to try and live their lives as much as possible.

It's sad that other Somalis can't seem to see this as what it is.

Akhi there is no need to argue with them. They are deluded. We have had more progress by ourselves tgen ever being in a union with them, and yet after all our achievements, they still try to deny us our right to freedom.

Unfortunately for them, there country is burning and they barely have any stability and yet, they like to complain about us. Calling us the somalidid. They seas were sold to kenya, they are occupied by an foreign forces, that see there instability as a cash cow. Al shabaab is still strong and has an formidable hold on some parts of the country and only recently controlled the capital. They have legit warlords and terrorist who control some parts of their country and they also had the co founder of al shabaab as their president. One of the main mastminds of that terrorist organisation was offering his blood to the victims of the recent bombings, even though he has the blood of thousands on their hand. The have warlords as senators and mass murders, freely walking around hamar. Yet they worry and continously obsess about somaliland.

Wallahi its pathetic, unfortunately for them they can't see that there narrow minded ness is ther very reason they have no really future.
