Do you even understand what such a golden age would require? :ayaanswag:

To have such a golden age would require science to flourish, and science does not always conform to Islamic dogma, as seen jf. Quran 86: 5-6.

It would also mean debate about the ideal form of government and even what the basis of government should be based on either empirical evidence and/or logical deductions, thereby questioning Sharia.

This is very unlikely to happen in pseudo theocracy that does not accept diversity of thought and dissent.
Just a piece of advice. Refrain from quoting the Qur'an to make discussion points if you don't understand the arabic of the Qur'an.
Also, these specific verses have bodies of work dedicated to them describing the accuracy of these statements.

You'll find that the translations are consistently the same across multiple boards, and despite the Quran being interpreted or even re-interpreted in light of circumstances the meaning largely remains the same, though it in some cases allows essentially for two mutually exclusive and yet authentic positions depending on political leanings as seen by domestic violence.

It is a subtle yet powerful means of discrediting or re-addressing points made, rather than to engage in the substantive and underlying debate.

The problem is assertion that it was even Islamic as in terms of the golden age being accredited directly to Islam especially when some its thinkers were considered heretics, rather than it being a consequence of other relevant factors and perhaps it can even be argued that Islam was a hindrance to this golden age.

However this is an area of contention I shall study more on and get back to you and thank you for the references given.

@Apollo If the Mongol invasion did not happen in Baghdad or any major Islamic cities in the middle east that was leading science. We would've been 400 years ahead in technology and medicine thanks to Muslim scientists.

Alot of societies have recovered from much more devastating events Its just the way people thought about things and about the world shifted towards another direction mainly becouse of certain scholers and thinkers gaining influence.

But if the west have recovered from the dark ages, why can't we too.
