It seems that men are more into the idea of having female companionship. Women are more content being single in comparison and deriving happiness elsewhere outside of a romantic relationship.
Ive noticed that too its a strange phenomena happening in society.

The years don't matter, the life in those years do
Do you fear that you may marry a guy who turns out to be a horrible person or the whole idea of marriage/male companion is something you don't want to deal with.
I don't want to deal with anyone. I enjoy spending time with my loved ones but, I also enjoy the respite I get when I come home to a quiet place. Also, I'm very grumpy as well. People are fine to me, in small doses.

I wonder why this is the case were does the difference lie πŸ€”

@JackieBurkhart share some insight

One think I do know is that for women it's like a switch you just got to activate it but most women guard themselves from being put into that vulnerable position in the first place by shutting off any romantic advance. They guard there switch until they are peer pressured in some sort of way.

Men on the other hand are always active I guess.

Well you bank on the relationship you have with him. Basically make a best friend out of an abdi you don't mind marrying.
A lot of guys marry multiple women just to look after them. The prophet didn't gain anything from most of his wives. he married many because they were old widows So he married them to take care of them.
Most men and women aren’t selfless in this day and age. No man is going to play house with a woman he isn’t in a relationship with. Btw, the Prophet’s wives were proper wives in all sense of the difference word and he had a husband/wife relationship with them and most weren’t β€˜old’. Some were young widows along with some being neither young or even old.

Yes they were wives in the full sense but the reason he married some of them was for the purposes of providing for widows.

But that's true most people are rather selfish now adays

Studies show that women tend to have closer bonds with friends and family even whilst married. Women tend to just value social relationships more and seem to be better at upholding ties of kinship. That’s why in older age, men tend to rely on wives more and tend to remarry after their spouses die more than women as women are more content without marriage due to having more of a support system.

Well I guess that's because men have to support traditionally and women get supported. Men get fulfillment from playing there role I guess

by support system, I meant emotional support. Example, women having closer relationships with siblings and friends. Example, when a woman becomes sick, traditionally it’s other women like sisters and friends who look after her. When men become ill, it’s the wife that tend to look after them.
