This guy is from south sudan and people are making fun of him in the comments saying things such as he looks like the black avatar, he looks like an alien and that he is purple not black because of his features and dark skin:

This guys features are fascinating, thin lips, small nose, extremely dark skin, long neck, pretty unique facial structure, with interestingly shaped eyes (the redness in the eyes is unfortunate may be yellow fever or some other disease).

it’s so clear looking at this guy that he’s a totally different “race” to your stereotypical Sub-Saharan African man (even though he’s still probably 100% sub-Saharan African) yet he’ll just be lumped together with all other Africans as “black”, it’s kinda sad that this kinda diversity is drowned out in favour of uniformity. In my opinion this guy and a typical west African look about as different as a white man and an East Asian man but maybe I’m tripping.

could it be possible that he has some Cushitic ancestry?

Africa is now just Niger-Congo and Arabized Mutt lands excuse my language.

but guys like this and Somalis, Khoi Groups of Southern Africa have that Distinct and Recognisable Look but is diluted through the monopoly that Bantus as the face of Africa.

I’ve got nothing against the Niger-Congo phenotype or people in general, it’s just kinda sad that it’s seen as the face of Africa when Africa is so much more diverse than that but nobody cares enough about the region to get out of their ignorant view of what people look like there or what the culture, way of life is like etc.

Same I think terms like "Sun Saharan African" exacerbate these fictional idenities.

Europe is significantly smaller and dwarfs in comparison to SSA yet they're given the respect of differentiation when it's a lot more extreme in Africa but it's just vague Sub Saharan Africa.

Nilotics have bantu dna and they separate from them genetically from Bantu’s 20k years ago. Also nilotes from South Sudan are the epitome of black

why wouldn’t they identify as it? It’s not sad it’s the truth. There’s white people with completely different features to the typical and they’re still white

Africa is very diverse. I've seen some Igbo Nigerians that have green eyes and some that looked almost Chinese no joke.

I've also seen a lot of green and hazel eyes, various hair textures facial structures in Ethiopia and probably rings true for the entirety of North East Africa.

From the darkest, to lightest complexions, shortest to tallest statures, slim to stocky muscular builds and frames. Africa has it all.

Probably also the most beautiful to the ugliest and smartest to the least unfortunately is also found there. A continent of wonders indeed.

The reaction to this normal south sudanese man shows the ignorance the world has of other ethnic groups in the world.

To the average person the only ppl they see daily is whites , east asians black people (mostly niger congo descent) south asians, and the latin ppl

They go out of their way to differentiate themselves and make sure others do the same. Call a Polish person Russian and watch how they react.

Outside of 3 or 4 groups, Sub-Saharan Africans are the complete opposite. They even let outsiders give them identities and subscribe to other group’s beliefs.
