Somalia is an extension of the UAE economically and Ethiopia/Kenya security-wise. Even if the messiah Somalis are waiting for came to power, he could not change thisUAE has militia on payroll. Has bases, and Somali gov gave UAE control over General Gordon military camp as well as the running of the National Army’s recruiting, logistical support & existing military plans.
With this Adminstrastion, there will be no conflict with UAE or their militia, but if there to come another admin, that is not friendly to UAE, what could happen?
Yes he could. Just seek another wealthy anti UAE partner.Sudan brought Hemedti in willingly to do their dirty work and empowered him, Nothing to do with the UAE

Yes, Sudan is less fragile and has more solid institutionsSomalia isn't similar to Sudan at all
What solid institutions?Yes, Sudan is less fragile and has more solid institutions
I understand for a goverment to repel UAE influence they'll have to confront many regions which basically means there's no point in trying. Unless you want a repeat of the civil war,Each Somali president will make sure to be an ally of UAE. They’ve captured PL, SL, JL and I’m sure by the end of this term will have a few more states and they’ve got now 15,000 well paid troops selected by HSM/Mahad Salad/UPD so will have a strong enough political base in Xamar to oppose any non-cooperative President there too.
Qatar is small fry compared to UAE in Somalia. And I do not foresee any problems unless we see an anti-UAE president like Farmaajo again
Yh this is not like other countries where they are fighting for influence hence why you see the chaos in Yemen, Libya and now Sudan. Tripoli, Sanaa and Khartoum are all out of UAE’s control and they’re trying to wrestle control for them.I understand for a goverment to repel UAE influence they'll have to confront many regions which basically means there's no point in trying. Unless you want a repeat of the civil war,
You want us to be UAE puppets???Each Somali president will make sure to be an ally of UAE. I am not a UAE fan (hence you’ll have seen my support for Libya/Sudan governments that they’re trying to overthrow) and but we need them right now.You want us to be UAE puppets???
Need them for what?I am not a UAE fan (hence you’ll have seen my support for Libya/Sudan governments that they’re trying to overthrow) and but we need them right now.
I’ve mentioned a few things above. But right now they’re paying a minimum of $500/month for 15,000 troops (another 10,000 over the next year), they’re training, equipping, bases. That’s something the FGS could never afford.Need them for what?
Also means they effectively control those troops and can use them on the governmentI’ve mentioned a few things above. But right now they’re paying a minimum of $500/month for 15,000 troops (another 10,000 over the next year), they’re training, equipping, bases. That’s something the FGS could never afford.
I agree but HSM needs to use them to bring Jubaland and Puntland under the hold. I always liked Qatar better not because I was somewhat of N&N supporter but because they actually build schools, roads, and hospitals.I am not a UAE fan (hence you’ll have seen my support for Libya/Sudan governments that they’re trying to overthrow) and but we need them right now.
