I was told by a local the business practise is to get rich thru NGO money dedicated to poor people and build towers. Is this true? If so this is the lowest act making money from charity intended for needy people.

I know some guy who has an elaborate scheme using my maternal relative land to settle IDP and collects $50 dollar per person not including rice-bags lol x 60 people. He has expanded to open up even a black market hospital on the land. He is going to accumulate this NGO money to build a tower is apparently his goal, is this the cycle of business for all Mogadishu?

I also heard lots are getting rich thru the govt and using the govt to send 'brain dead' HAGS into the diaspora. Im not to concerned about the brain dead hags going to diaspora cuz they will fail and just become a refugee at best so no return on investment for hag lol.

Absolutely it is Godka Sayidka right under the statue used to be a historical park made by MSB AUN. Habargidir man took it over and turned it into an IDP squallor camp. He literally makes $50 dollar off of the UN per IDP cardholder, there is around 3000 residents. Imaginr profiting off misery. lThis is right beside the Parliament and looked so horrendous they had to cover it with jingad walls. Lots of ppl wonder if the large IDP camps in the capital is beneficial to HAGS to loot NGO funds intended for them and build towers. Lots of ppl argue these loot interests from 91 and now NGO looting is HUGE factor they dont support a government. Even the parliament is shocking and begin motions(which is pay me bribes) when a significant aid or investment enters the nation, all their motions only happen when foreign money deal is done, they want their SLICE. Then they wonder why no large scale investment is possible, the environment is simply to risky, imagine u need to pay millions just in bribes when u can just go to rwanda and its rule of law. The public is losing so much investment due to this bribe me mentality and none of them uprise saying stop the isbaaro on our public interest, noone does, its baffling, actually you would think their social interest would supercede and demand an end to bribes. 300 idiots r stopping ur investments u wud think the majority wud say GET FUCKED.

I don’t get this. You are aware the past few governments have been signing away land like crazy. In fact a strong government that hasn’t got the usual checks and balances like in the West is beneficial for big business. They can legalise kicking out poor people and gentrify places like Xamar.

The big guys making money in Somalia have legal papers and abuse their power through buying off judges and politicians to sign them the land.

I know of this practice in Afgooye. These people will sell you the land and then move it. This will be done by the ‘engineers’ some employed by government and others private. They’re tasked with measuring the land and providing evidence of where the land’s location is in court. They are notoriously corrupt so you have to make sure you buy from the right person. Make sure never to buy from politicians, big business, guys with big clan names and backing lol
