I have a feeling the Kenyan government is capitalizing on our dispute with Ethiopia. The Kenyan government hasn't issued a single statement supporting Somalia's territorial integrity. There is not a single statement about Ethiopia's reckless foreign policy that is reviving Al Shabaab and having serious regional ramifications.
The Somali people have seriously forgotten about the contested maritime area that Somalia won after the ICJ awarded most of the oil-and-gas-rich chunk of the Indian Ocean to Somalia. Kenyan troops are still stationed in the maritime area that Somalia won. Is the Kenyan government using the dispute between Somalia and Ethiopia as a diversion from the ICJ verdict?
