Those African facts pages on twitter tweet this every few months, most Africans are extremely impressionable. If they see someone or hear of one that isn't your average African want to help them they'll treat them like a Messiah (even if the story is a lie like this one). They believe he wanted to unite Africans onto one currency, bring the continent together and was killed because of wanting to unify Africa. He's the Martin Luther King for Africans lmfao.

Lmao africans love random niggas who didn't do that much. They should be simping for a real hero like patrive lumumba or Thomas sankara.
Ghadaffi was decent at ruling Libya but he was not some pan African icon like people like to say. He originally tried pan arabism but when that failed he tried it again with Africa. He's just a dictator who wanted to expand his influence, he governed Libya harshly bit overall better than whatever came next.
