I mean yeah, it started on incel forums in the 2010s the whole premise is essentially looks matter the most, which leads to an unhealthy obsession with appearance. If I'm not mistaken there's different types of looksmaxing, one that's calmers and just focuses on changing your style, losing weight, skin care etc and the other is basically promoting things like bonemashing or wtv. These tik tok creators where promoting the first, and as a result exposed people on Tik Tok to the whole thing, and now we're dealing with all this.
