Indonesia and Malaysia seem like good potential economic role models and trade partners

We have historical ties, we’re both Shafci, we’re both isolated and surrounded by cadaw

A prosperous Somali economy probably look alot similar to Indonesia, agricultural commodity production, burgeoning energy production from coal and oil to support potential industries such as food processing, paper pulp, and possibly cement industry

not awfully complex and takes just a small amount of competence until we’re ready for the next step

also would help that they’re our trading hub for Southeast Asia, it would act as a filter for fugazi or defective goods . There’s a lot of losses incurred by Somali importers into Africa dealing with China, Thailand etc directly. Having Muslim Indonesian and Malay act as agents similar to what UAE is as a filter for goods coming from India. It would stimulate their local exports amd bolster the quality and credibility of our product

Another added benefit being technology transfer to us that they received from China Japan Korea etc

also they generally well disposed people

Other new trade partners could be Egypt especially for agriculture technology transfers

Did you know the baati that west Africans and Africans in general wear is originally Indonesian and brought by the Dutch to Africa

Palm Oil is originally from Africa one of Indonesias largest exports

A Somali Indonesian consortium could work together on making subtropical African land agriculturally productive

Honestly they’re also the few Asians I wouldn’t mind setting in Somalia and working with us in the African interior, inviting them and Rohyinga Burmese would be a huge boon for us

Coal industry could be a huge job creater for Somalis in Africa and possibly even wean us out from tahrib and dhoof, it along with agricultural could absorb a lot of labor and technical expertise both downstream and upstream operations, and economic opportunities from its products such as fertilizers, chemicals, syngas etc

Indonesia is currently one of the largest producers, consumers and exports of thermal coal

I’m of the belief that developing primary industries in energy is the first step towards job creation, coal generally being more complex creates a bit more independence from government overreaching especially in Africa or threats from banditry — a outside example a large portion of South Africa’s economy is based on coal production it’s essentially a money printer and with a bit of focus and staying away from laghaw and nonsense, you can invest that capital or use that cheap energy to manufacture or even invest it back into your agriculture and give more sadaqat and boost fertility of poor Muslims

Also coal itself a feedstock for nitrogenous fertilizers and would make growing food cheaper which also is the next step of seeking independence

Not only coal, you can create primary with many other lucrative things somalia has. The #1 problem is, How long would it take to leave this status and would we ever? or would be just serve as the resource producing country for the west... Malaysia and Indonesia are very good countries even thought about living there its like Dubai without the crap.

I don’t know the details of their situation but I’d like give them credit they’re trying very hard, they have a very robust Halal food certification system which is no small endeavor it’s one of the first steps for keeping separation between Muslims and Kuffar, they have one of most innovative Halal riba free banking sectors in the world, and finally recent found out they even have a register of Muslim owned businesses called, The 'Muslim-Owned Establishment (MOE)' certificate

All this is a form of economic warfare

also I think us inviting them is really mutual boon, that giving them the opportunity to expand to get breathing room from the Chinese and other kuffar in the east would benefit us by giving us allies , be a good example for the Muslim ummah by setting a precedent for modern Muslim cooperation,

Also Americas largest exports are soybeans and pertroluem, when you’re in virgin undeveloped lands the most lucrative sectors are energy and agriculture, in American colonial history the reason the many French settlements amd British ones before Jamestown was lack of agriculture, and the colonial economy was based on both timber and plantations farming of cash crops, Primary and secondary industries. Only after the population is large enough and the educated population or those Allah give towfeeq to educate can more complex industries form

another example of a country very similar economically to Indionasia also would be Brazil, it’s doing about as well as a subtropical country could be… economically even though they are under threat socially, religiously etc

As we foray deeper into the world, we can share our opportunities
