Somali diet is fucked as well back home. Many Somalis are developing similar diseases to India.
We need the government to promote a nomadic-like and less carby diet since that's what our bodies are most used to
I was reading a random post recently about a colonial traveller who visited nomadic Somalis n how white their teeth were compared to other nations, and how much pride people took to keep brushing with twigs. Throw in modernity, war, and sugar/khat diets, it is has become normal for people to have rotting teeth and even teeth blackened by years of chewing khat. Even in the diaspora, it has become normal to see many Somali men have brown/black teeth due to khat. Mind you, the old nomadic Somalis weren’t not exposed to much of these modern problems; that said, it would seem Somalis have lost pride in many things. My grandfather had a six pack into his 60s and he would always tell me stories about he was the fastest man in his clan in his prime.nowadays, people take pride in wearing suits or go and talk about politics. Some diaspora raised negroes in the west look more dusty and have excessive dry skin more so than men from old nomadic pics. Then you have the hell that is skin bleaching (another Indian import) which is the greatest and lowest form of self hatred.
