It’s too late for that. HSM is doing good. Deni doesn’t have time or political capital to fight with HSM. Forget about supporting LG and QQ. If Deni capitulates and doesn’t change the constitution/extend, he’s politically dead.

LG and QQ can’t back out of all the things they’ve agreed. Debt relief is decided in September. They only have months left and QQ/LG can no longer fight the FGS. Mahad Salad has taken over Dhusamareb with NISA and Baydhabo is under siege from Shabaab, LG has too much mucaarad to survive past Baydhabo agreement if he fights FGS.

HSM will play dumb and say ‘you can defend yourselves, I have nothing to do with this, my agreement only affects FGS term not yours’

Puntland is not opposed to the debt relief at all. We are simply opposed to allowing the FGS to begin borrowing from concessional lenders 2 seconds after HIPC forgiveness.

@bidenkulaha the dismissal of the finance minister is more damaging to HSM gov than anything Puntland has done thus far. HSM demonstrated to everyone watching that he is not serious about curbing corruption.

Debt reliefs been a topic for years before this admin yet it only became partisan on sspot recently.

Im expecting a rerun of the Farmajo era faux accomplishment/faan “The troops were paid again this month”

You would think HSM would be a better operator having had 5 years to reflect on what went wrong the first time around. No lessons learned, typical Somali politician.

Debt relief was one of the points you said wouldn’t happen. That, the constitution and the arms embargo if I remember correctly. You can’t back out now.

PL pulled out of debt relief and even said it IMF go ahead with it without them agreeing on how to split new loans we’d go into a civil war

You can’t say ‘this can’t happen without PL’ a week ago and months ago (I’ll find it later) and then turnaround and say ‘oh it was always going to happen’

I don’t remember what your talking about but im happy to live by any failed expectation if you can substantiate that.

I was this week mocking HSM among other things for staggering to push through a historically bipartisan issue. You then responded to that as some sort of challenge and I ignored it. This was my original post on that read the bold for context clues.
Hawiye are delusional and dont realize we voted hsm in because of his incompetence in comparison to Farmajo.

Madoobe + ‘Marxuum’ -
  1. Unified Gedo with Jubbaland
  2. Large infrastructure projects (Kismayo Roads with drainage, Road to Afmadow, Afmadow airport etc all either completed or in progress
  3. Bulked up existing forces
  4. Buaale still in progress
HSM -
  1. Hirshabelle collapsed and Abgaal lost territory
  2. Budget halved from last year thanks to IC
  3. Unlikely to get constitutional reform passed
  4. Made enemies with Puntland and gained zero leverage eventually flipflopping
  5. Arms Embargo isnt lifted
  6. Debt Relief is itself in the air even though it wasnt as contentious under Farmajo
  7. Selling Government land in Xamar still in progress
As far as my challenge with you it was over a unilaterally finished dastuur i.e. no SL/PL which is obviously not happening. Debt relief will likely happen eventually although it is not the partisan power play you for some reason think it is. I also believe the arms embargo might see some limited easing over the next 4 years as they have been flirting with it since the last admin I am however heavily opposed to that.

Notice I didnt hold you to the Deni take below:ulyin:
And yes the constitution is going to be finished likely this year.

Hold me to these.

• Deni attends the next NCC and backs down, agreeing to go the 1m1v elections, constitution being completed etc

• KG elections will happen and there’ll be a new President allied to HSM. Badbaado KG achieved its goal which was to control the next elections and not LG, although it took a year to. I’m sure the Badbaado qaran in April 2021 that said no to an extension were happy with how it turned out with Farmaajo losing control of elections and leaving a year later

I’ll take the L on Deni but he’s tbf yesterday’s news. I will switch that to the next PL president :manny:

Hassan sheikh is reported to be supporting mahad salad for the galnus seat how do you think QQ is going to respond?

Also hassan sheikh threw jawahir/ sharif skiing under the bus to make a deal with laftagareen.

Laftagareen is not stupid he needs to make a move fast. So i would say galnus will probably join puntland in mucaaridnimo.

Hassan sabta has opened pandora’s box these are the consequences.
