The only difference these bushfires and the Australian ones are that the NZ are much more picturesque.:wow1:

NZ has the greatest natural beauty, it is unparalleled. Hurts to see it in flames.:mjcry:


These bushfires can be really dangerous. In the right conditions nothing can be done to stop the growth of these fires or the rate at which they spread. They are a recurring in problem in Australia. In 2009 a bushfire took the lives 173, left 414 injured, and destroyed 2000+ houses.

NZ is clearly unprepared for emergencies.

There was a wildfire here last Spring that was probably bigger than the size of the entire NZ with more properties destroyed and no one died.

It's clear to me NZ was not prepared or they have incompetent people.

You can only be so prepared. I'd the weather conditions are extreme and someone lights a fire it will be a catastrophe.
