It seems like the counterfeit money smuggled into the region has dwindled the economy. It seems like the use of Somali shilling has been near outlawed. Not too sure how effective the EVC hormuud telecommunication will be in replacing the Shilling.
It seems like they are trying to counter act the use of US dollars, will see how this plays with the coming months and its impact on the economy.
