About the Soleimani class corvettes
These corvettes displace approximately 600 tonnes and measure 65.0 meters (213 ft 3 in) in length with a beam of 14.5 meters (47 ft 7 in). They are powered by diesel engines, with propulsion provided by four engines, allowing them to reach speeds of up to 32 knots (59 km/h). Their operational range is about 5,000 nautical miles (9,300 km), facilitating extended missions.
The armament of these corvettes includes a variety of weapons designed for both defensive and offensive purposes. This includes a 30 mm auto-canon, four 20 mm gatling guns with three barrels each, and an array of missiles: six anti-ship cruise missiles (comprising four long-range and two mid-range), 16 surface-to-air missiles (including Sayad2/3 and a short-range SAM), and six surface-to-surface missiles (Abu-Mahdi SSM).
The ships are equipped with a helipad and an underlying crane, designed for the deployment and retrieval of fast attack boats. They have the capacity to carry three fast attack boats, along with the capability to retrieve and rearm them efficiently.
