It depends on where I'd grow up. In sudan you'd be an outcast and treated horribly if you weren't muslim/christian. If I grew up in the west though I don't see myself converting to any religion really

I can’t say yes for sure because it’s not easy to go against your environment and upbringing. Hopefully I still had a strong inclination towards monotheism. It’s what my heart is drawn to so maybe I would find the light again.

No one can say yes for certain unless they already are reverts. Its a blessing in of itself that we where born Muslim and Allah perhaps was being merciful by giving us such circumstances because it would have meant that we may not have if we weren't born Muslims. Ethnicity/culture also plays a part. If you where born somali but not Muslim you probably would eventually revert as opposed to someone from a non muslim culture.

Honestly most born Muslims if placed in that situation wouldn’t..it’s incredibly hard to go against your upbringing, family and basically everything you’ve been taught

That’s why reverts have such a high status in Islam. So many of them have strained relationships with family who don’t accept them being Muslim and had to leave pretty much everyone in their old life to follow the truth. Also to be Muslim from a non Muslim culture where your upbringing is against everything in Islam is not easy. Can you imagine converting to Islam while still living in a non Muslim household and having your parents keeping khamri and khanzir in the home?

We have it really easy as born Muslims. We don’t have to deal with our own families and community alienating us for believing in the deen

Especially if I came from a background like Christianity, it’d be a no brainer.
