If recognition was not on the table?

A question to SL supporters. If you guys could look into the future with some time-travelling device and discovered that at no point in the future would you achieve recognition, but you were the only ones privy to this knowledge. What would you demand from the rest of Somalia to return to the fold?

Confederation?

Hargeisa as the capital of Somalia?

A $20 billion development plan?

S-400 anti-defense system in the hands of the the local admin?

What would you demand? (Remember, the rest of Somalia is not aware of the future)

We would just go back to somalia easy. See what we can get if it's nothing then so be it

But you have a strategic advantage through knowledge from the future. What political, materialistic or national gain would you demand in such a situation?

I recently saw a video of PM Egal cutting the ribbon of the new Berbera port in January 1969 and got this strange day dream of time-travelling back with a million Somali man army to reinforce his position against both domestic and foreign threats.

Focus should have been to cut as many ribbons as possible for factories, ports, roads, rail-systems, schools and hospitals.

Mate it’s been 32 years, the world has recently made it clear that recognition will not happen. Maybe it’s time to revaluate don’t you think.

Not necessarily bruv. The west said it's an African issue and the au said somaliland has a unique case. So now with this Ethiopia thing going on Ethiopia recognizes somaliland and now somaliland has a foot in the door. So could be good

these people hate “faqash” more than they love themselves. Don’t expect rational thought from them

I don’t know what to say to that, but I do commend you for your optimism.

Yeah we would ofcourse come with demands and somalia already said we would give you presidency and the capital so would build on that. See if we could do a power sharing deal like 60 40 or something somalia has a larger population and larger land so it can't be 50 50.

No power sharing huh. So one centralized government in xamar. That could work. None of this qabiil federalism though it's garbage bro. Everyone split on clan lines like 5 presidents. That shit can't work. If isaaq comeback we gotta get rid of federalism

It should be one man one vote system, all parties should be based on political ideologies and have multiple qabiils as members. This is the best way to have a fair and transparent system which satisfies the whole country.
