Are somalis parenting skills up to date.

I never seen somali parents have fun with their kids it always "business" . I never got from words encouragment my parents, it was the belt. I use to work at restaurant , and the weekend parents would come with their kids eat and literally just catch up on life , relationship, work,school. Only time went to eat out was Eid and it was with the whole fam.

Or Are somali parents just raising the way they were raised.

That's what is see too. There is two thing that are crucial to the well being of a child. Nature and nurture , we can't control nature ,but nurture is 75% in hand of parents and 25% in culture and society.

My dad always joked and played around with me as a kid, he’s never laid a hand on me but he still displinces me. He’s constantly encouraging wallahi I love my dad. Not every Somali dad is uptight.

It was my mom who beat me. One she hit with a 2×4 on back like WWE. My uncle stopped her Savage self. Guess why she beat me in the first place , cause I didn't take the goat meat out of the freezer. I had the best sleep after that whooping .
