I wish Somalia was in peace and that the country is thriving again. Before the war, Somalia was such a beautiful country but the colonisation has destroyed us. We tore our country apart due to qabilism and we haven’t recovered from it since. Different qabils want to create their own flags and country. We all look alike, we speak the same language, all have the same religion yet that isn’t enough. I want to visit Mogadishu someday but i get told that is too dangerous due to all the suicide bombs that happens. My mum made me a proud wadani and although some cities are doing well it still isn’t enough. I hope the new president wants the best for the people of Somalia and isn’t running for presidency due to other reasons.

Somali is an ethnicity. I am 100% Somali for example. It can be traced back thousands of years. That’s what I consider somali, a pure Cushitite. They look alike and speak the same. Unless you consider af-may and af-maxaa different languages, to me as someone who hasn’t even spoken afmay I can understand most of it. It’s a dialect. Ain’t no one ever convincing me that’s another language.

No other country in the world had all of this chaos and civil war for 30 years. Even Afghanistan had more stable government than ours. Literally every country in Africa that had a civil war recovered and went back to semi normal. Somalia is the only exception because of warlords and corrupt politicians
