I have officially given up on Somali restaurants. They are getting ridiculously expensive and are inconsistent with their taste

it’s good to support small local businesses in our community especially Somali ones that employ our own people. that money stays in community vs supporting Indian or cadaan restaurants. Give them honest feedback in private no need to hate on google reviews. Not sure where y’all from but Minneapolis somali food is bomb my go to is quroxlow .

my favorite somali restaurant state side is the one in Los Angeles near airport it’s hole in wall but food

This is definitely true, I have been in one of those somali restaurant in Ankara, Turkey, last year and man it was a horrible experience.

Food was too salty and fat , the staff were unfriendly, the toilets dirty with no toilet paper or soap.

And to top of that the bill was shockingly high.

Somali food is fine when it's home-cooked but in restaurants it's not worth trying.
