This is one thing that brings me shame about my ancestoral homeland, the crazy economic policies which is like to back to front to the rest of the world.

Everyone keeps their local, diaspora, or foreign investors inside its actual borders or as much as reasonably possible so the money flows into local wages, salaries, supply chains, services, market growth.

Everyone wants to see 1000 ppl being on the payroll and hired locally by an investor, the supply chains used all being local, services, etc.

You want people to say those pesky puntites are inside payroll of all investors companies, supply chains and the more you have your people are growing indirect wealth and if this scales to millions your now a wealthy country who can collect a large taxation revenue base.

Waa inaad dhuuqda every investor money and put puntites in every side of the investment, this is what the whole world is doing but what do we do, we send out money to other countries who hate you and their feeding and paying salaries to foreigners.

Import is lost money 💰 and not even apart of the GDP equation. But they love foreign stuff in PL, It's like God has cursed these ppl to walk backwards while everyone else is walking forward.

If you want money coming out of PL ass, it's not some oil nonsense, it's strategically placing your locals onto the payroll of investors and the more ppl you can, the more successful you are. This is the damn rules in the economic world. The only thing u need to as an economists is check for the following.

1. Hiring potential in terms of quantity
2. Supply chain and logistic growth locally
3. How high the wages are, depends on skills and complexity provided.
4. Taxation revenue potential

Those r the simplest rules to follow assessing any investment in PL and if it doesn't meet the criteria, discourage it.

It's up the govt to make sure the local is healthy, fit, etc and is literate and skilled. It's up to govt to guide what these people can offer potential investors. Rule of Law and courts especially around the market are needed. The laws need to address businesw safety, risk minimisation, contractual dispute resolution and their needs to be courts for it also not just on paper.

Tell your people to get out of Hargeisa and invest in their cities. I've met so many nice people this year from all over pl who own or have a stake in business in Hargeisa ontop of properties that they live.

But Hargeisa is abit of a free for all place where you'll find every type of Somali nowadays.
