I failed my diet

The 3lbs you lost was probably just water weight to begin with. You don't really lose a signaficant amount of adipose tissue in 2 weeks. Just lower sodium intake and your carb to 70-90grams, depending on our activity level, and you'll lose the 3lbs just as quick :manny:

Also you don't really need to follow a "diet" per-say. Just download myfitnesspal & track Marcos. I.e., 35% of your calories should come form protein, 30% from fat & 35% from carbs.

Need to have a strong image. Every time you're about to slip think about the choice that's in front of you. You either slip and stay the same, or you reach your goal body (I imagine myself looking thin and lean while smashing a girl). My actions will results in me choosing the prior or the latter. Simplifying things works for me.

You can also just eat once a day. That way, you can look forward to stuffing yourself.

that one meal a day could be something crazy for some like two subway footlongs

I'm doing that. I'm actually successful in eating in terms of calories. Most of these days after eid i was eating 1200-1500 calories. For example today I ate 1294 calories. But it was mostly unhealthy junk food. This is what i'm struggling with and I'm feeling hella bloated tho.

What I ate today:
Breakfast:
french toast with honey and a medium cup of milk
I whipped one egg (with no sugar) and coated 2 slices of bread and put it on the pan to make french toast. I drizzled pure raw honey for some sweetness and drank 1 cup of milk.

2 slices of bread = 140 cal
1 egg = 70 cal
1 cup of 1% milk = 110 cal
drizzle of pure raw honey = 20 cal

Lunch:
I came back from jimca prayer and forgot to thaw my salmon. I was too hungry to wait, and just did a quick frozen snacks.

2 bread sticks = 380 cal
11 frozen fish sticks = 408 cals (each fishstick is 37 cals)
1 banana = 70 cals

Now dinner:
24 cherries = 96 cals (each cherry is 4 cals)
You're eating too much bread.
Tell me your height and weight and what your goal is and I'll help you out.

Carbs seem to your problem and I'll come back to this in a bit, but first, It's been scientifically shown that not all calories are the same. 100 calories from broccoli or chicken breast is not the same as 100 calories from bread, rice, soda etc...
For someone like you who wants to lose weight, you basically need to control your insulin response because insulin is a fat storing hormone. It's what puts fat in your belly mostly, but also in other parts of the body. So the less insulin you release, the less fat you will store.

why is carbs the problem? Anytime you eat your body release insulin and that insulin will take glucose aka energy to your cells so then you can use it to do work, like physical work, or subconscious work like breath talk, sleep etc.. believe it or not you need energy even to sleep. The problem happens when you release too much insulin because after your cells get enough energy, they shut down the insulin receptors and send back the excess glucose. Guess what happens then? That's right, it's stored as fat, and the first place it goes to is your belly. Because you can't have that amount of glucose in your body, it's unhealthy, and if your body didn't store it as fat, that means you are either diabetic or headed in that direction.

the foods that release the heighest insulin are first sugar, then carbs like all wheat products, pasta, rice, and some sweet fruits etc.. This means you will always have more glucose than your cells need which means you will always store the excess as fat. Repeat this many times and you will get fat.

Protein also spikes insulin but by a lot less than sugar and carbs. Here's the interesting thing, if you ate fat like avocado, olive oil, butter, your body will barely release insulin, hence you won't store anything as fat. Ironic isn't it? That by eating high fat diet, you can lose weight and be healthy?

Anyways, if I were you, I would eat less carbs, and not only that but I would also only eat healthy carbs like the carbs you get from vegetables because they come with a lot of fiber which help decrease insulin secretion. Plus they come with a lot of vital vitamins that your body needs. I would eat a lot of fat and protein like eggs, avocados, olive oil, butter, steaks and red meat, chicken, fish etc.. I would absolutely never touch sugar or soft drinks, so no soda, no somali tea etc.. Once you do this, you can then pair it with exercise at least 5 times a week and you'll drop the weight no doubt. Within 3 months of this protocol, you can get back to 130-140lbs mark.
