i am Losing hope in Somalia future

i believe you lot have had this issue also , for the past 3 decades i watch my country not going forward every time there is a little hope then something bad happens , how can we move forward and show and act as normal citizens of a country. defeat alshabaab build institutions clean up the city rebuild the economy rebuild an army. I mean how hard can it be. are the leaders just low IQ , today i met a Somali kid some other kids asked him where u from ,he couldnt even say Somalia he said . Mauritania of all places. inst that sad , that we have gone so low

I would never give up on Somalia but we need solution the alternative what is the alternative the alternative is just much of the same what we have now. And the people that think balkansiation is a solution we just be client states of Ethiopia and kenya to weak to make a statement if we balkanise we just agree that we allow Ethiopia and kenya to be the powerhouses

the thing is why do u want others to help u. Why can u not help ur self not short of funds u get enough funds we have enough recourses why do you wait for some one to help you or on hand outs

No its slow because the artificially created UN government can't beat shabaab and cant make any progress

Everytime Somalis try to answer this question they fail to take the biggest factors into account and resort to cheap excuses, face it, Somalia is an artificial country, if tomorrow all aid is cut the so called federal government will stop existing

Shabaab isn't some undefeatable force. As Somalia's GDP grows, it will be better able to handle it. If you see it as something that can't be defeated, that is simply the limits of your mind.

Yeah, same song and dance year after year from 2015 to 2025. Stick to one date for once. All Somalia needs to focus on is growing its economy and recruiting Somali soldiers and setting up long-term bases near Shabaab hideouts and cutting their cash flow, but yeah, saying Somalia will end for 10 years straight seems cool too.
