I've always questioned people who listed all those benefits for running. I've never felt those. Whether I was thin or chubby, I've always panted like a dog after running

i play football twice a week 2 hours each time

much better imo

it’s fun and you’ll be out socialising with 15-20 people

running isn't for everyone, there are so many forms of cardio that have the same results- but if you are going to start running, its not enjoyable at first but after a couple weeks of consistency, it becomes really enjoyable but you kinda need to run at least 2x a week otherwise its hard to get back into

I really like running but I dont anymore bc its unsafe

Run 4-10 Miles 4 times a week depending on how busy I am. Stamina is good and just overall endurance so I don't get tired much pretty much easy for me right now. Sometimes in the summer I will do a 25 miles down a local trail. My energy is alway high and I am usually in a good mood can't say much for concentration but I blame my ADHD. I will say I play football twice a week and the only people that don't get tired by the end of the game are me and another runner.

Likewise. Me and two of my Somali friends are the only ones in a mixed session of 14 people that can press and run all game (90-120mins of 7 a side) it feel likes a cheat with how good Somalis are with endurance . The only other ‘race’ I’ve seen that durable were these two Nepali Indho yaar 5’5 twins. Insane energy. That’s them high altitude mountain trekking genes at play.

I run 2-4 times a week, anywhere from 5km to 20km depending on my target race / time.

The runs vary: some are fast, long ones are usually slow (except races), I do lactic threshold runs as well. I get runner's high, but it's unpredictable. Usually it's after a long run though (>10km)

I would recommend that you lift (especially deadlifts and plyometrics). This helps you become faster and makes you more injury resistant.

I'm only consistent because I'm working towards a goal. I wanna beat my pb for a 10k (43 mins) insha'Allah.
