HG diet is another way of saying low carb/high protein diet and you don't have to exclude diary. Ive done it a few times to shed body fat since it's the best diet that greatly curbs appetite but I never thought about making it a lifestyle. I've been on it for the past weeks now and will keep this diet for life. My fasting blood sugar is usually in the mid 90s even though I'm active which isn't a good sign. This diet knock it down to the 70s. Our body can only use carbs for energy and nothing else unlike proteins and fats that are used for many different purposes including energy.
Homo sapiens have been on this diet for 2 millions years and recently (12,000 years ago) started consuming high carb diet which resulted many body deformity.

Here's what my daily diet consist of


Breakfast
Eggs, veggies and milk or liver/kidney with veggies
Lunch
Salmon/lamb/chicken and berries
Dinner
1 banana with almond/cashew/hazelnut butter and Greek yogurt
I'm able to get 120g of protein from this diet every day and my brain is definitely more alertful. Also, I'm the type of people who got a high appetite for pastries, donut, cakes and this diet litterly numbs my carb cravings. This must be the healthiest decision I ever made in my life.

I've seen a guy that eats just raw meat for 5 years, and claimed it helped him stop feeling constantly hungry & it solved digestion issues he had.

Pretty fascinating tbh, makes you think about physically healthy modern Humans are

Why not just do Intermittent fasting???

Higher insulin level induces hunger so greatly reducing your carb intake will lower your blood sugar levels which will lower your insulin level. That's where the appetite suppression comes from. Raw meat is unhealthy though
Why not just do Intermittent fasting???

I feel so much more mentally alert and energetic when I avoid simple carbs like beard etc in the mornings. Even if I'm in a strict caloric deficit, I legit feel stronger and can move much more weight in the gym. Simple carbs and sugar are poison, I don't know how people slam chocolate croissants and sugary coffee/tea first thing in the morning without going into a food coma wallahi lol

eating rich carb meals can alter the chemistry of the brain and affect your decision making. watch this dw documentary about the effect of carbs on the brain. There shouldn't be no excuse to go back consuming the meals our body was evolved to process in a good manner.

It comes out to about 2150cal. breakfast 750, lunch 600, and dinner 800. I can eat nuts in between meals if I wanted to up my calories but so far I'm able to maintain my frame.
I need to eat like 3000 calories to not lose weight so it would be a problem for me to eat that much

Yeah it might not be for bodybuilders with above average metabolism or those who already don't have a good appetite.
