It seems that it has been decided he should have no future in Syria's politics, despite all the interviews and attempts to present him to the West as a moderate rebel who has changed, left his past of extremism behind, and is now ready to work with the international community. They could simply replace him with a hardcore Sunni secularist. There might be some undercover secularists within HTS, waiting for any chance to seize power. People underestimate how much power can change a person, even those with a relatively strong iman

This seems highly unlikely, the US can’t rescind the warrant but at the same time what would they gain by having someone go hunt him down and kidnap him? not to mention that he’s the leader of an armed faction. It would send Syria into complete free fall.
