Djibouti is led by a humpty dumpty looking dictator. The people have no say over the government, he doesn't represent them.
Best leader in East Africa after Paul Kagame.

Djibouti is a stable country surrounded by conflict prone countries. IOG has done alot maintaining social cohesion. Compared to it's neighbours Djibouti is light years ahead. iA they will gain political freedom but atleast they are the most developed nation in the horn an incrediple feat considering the neighbourhood and how little is going on for Djibouti. Small arid country that has no real natural resources nor that well educated population and IOG has managed to turn it into a beacon of stability that attracts global powers and investments.

He couldve done more I do agree but what he has achieved is still remarkable. Having Djibouti as an ally is a smart move considering its the main port of Ethiopia.

Djibouti is a city-state with a per capita income of $3.4k, yet IOG in over 20 years couldn't build a sewage system for a single city. That is genuinely an impressive amount of incompetence.

Typical xaasid Somalis, Djibouti has developed much better under 2 decades of IOG dictatorship than 2 decades of Somaliland and PL democracy.

Djibouti is better off than Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia(all its neighbours) a nation sitting on a tiny plot of hot arid desert with no resources to speak of, IOG has done something remarkable. iA when he resigns his legacy wont follow the path many dictatorial regimes do at the end of their reign.

Djibouti is a small city state, it is half the size of Galgaduud. Also it hosts a lot of foreign bases. America’s largest foreign base in Africa, France’s largest overseas base, China, Japan etc. How on earth can it not be stable when all these countries have vetted interests in it being stable? Djibouti leader is just a corrupt crook who steals all the money they get. 70 % of the population live in extreme poverty.

@bidenkulaha you need to educate your cousin.

I aint saying IOG is a saint. Atleast under his leadership Djibouti has turned into the centerpoint of trade in the Horn with one of the busiest ports in Africa. And precisely because Djibouti is a tiny plot of a desert, that I think IOG has done quite well with the terrible cards Djibouti has been given. Haters can keep hating but my abti keeps collecting W.
