No other tribal leader has this level of access, meeting with royalty, sitting on the UNSC. It's actually a big achievement.

His constituency, secular hawiye clan interests is not that powerful in Somalia. A minority of the population, strategically placed but unable to exert real influence over the entire country and seemingly unwilling to negotiate well with others. It's kind of a funny situation. maybe because 90% of the people that run the government arent actually qualified people, take the majority of mps being illiterate or him making his own daughter advisor on foreign affairs and international cooperation as an example. seems like his nepotism and corruption has backfired on him
